Busy Day!
Pb will be here in one hour! yipeeeee!
I am enjoying my typical oatmeal (1/4 cup oats, 1 tbs pb, 1 banana) and trying to get some work done!
Leaving at 9:30 to pick up the future hubs and be on our way to NH for the afternoon… We will be having lunch on the way so I packed us whole wheat sandwiches with hummus and cukes, and some more cukes on the side! PB also gets a bagel with salmon because he is going to be on his own all afternoon, but since I hate touching the salmon I am just going to buy it from the bagel place down the street!
Here’s my sandwich all ready to go:
I made the hummus yesterday afternoon while waiting for the tilapia to cook with the help of one of my best friends (and also roomie, cousin and colleage) who taste tested it and let me know what was missing. Hummus is really easy, I swear you DON’T need to follow a recipe. Just take out your food processor, add chick peas, salt, lemon juice, a bit of tahini and water and give it a whirl. Then taste it and see what is missing. At that point I start drizzling in olive oil bit by bit, until the hummus reaches the right consistency. Yesterday mine was missing a little salt and water so my cuz helped save the day. After I made her adjustments it tasted perfect.
OH! And a tip from my good friend in N.H.! Want shiny hair? Don’t rely on all of those commercial products…. After normal shampooing I poured a small mixture of 1 part VINEGAR to 4 parts water all over my hair, rinsed, and then blowed it out like usual. My hair is so shiny today it’s insane! Try it!

Hooray for PB arriving soon, homemade hummus (I love making a roasted-garlic variety – yum!!), shiny hair, and FRIDAY!! Enjoy!!

My friend claims making hummus is easy too. But it’s not as easy as buying it! Har har.

cool tip. now, do you condition after you do the vinegar thing, or does conditioner not fit into this equation?
