Iced in!
Morning my friends. I am at the office and there is loads to do since we closed at 1:30 on Friday. This morning I was determined to get in a workout, and thinking ahead last night I loaded my DVD player with my Christmas present to myself: Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred dvd. It is the very first exercise dvd I have bought for myself. it was kind of exciting! I am glad I did because it was about 10 degrees when I got up and I wouldn’t have made it to the gym. I did Level 1 today which was fine except that my 5 lb weights were in my car so I had to use my 10 lb weights the whole time. That was really tough with the lateral raises. But besides that it was fine. The dvd was good for a day like today, and I think I will try to do it once or twice a week when I want to get in a quickie workout before work.
In case you haven’t noticed I have been posting more about my workouts. I figure that since it is such an integral part of my life I should post them. Also it is a good record and will keep me accountable!
I was soooo hungry this morning. yesterday all day I had a bowl of turkey bean tomato soup with cheese and 3 chocolate chip cookies. Not enough food at ALL. I was so busy peeling 11 boxes of mushrooms and peeling and chopping 26 zucchini. More on that tomorrow when I explain how to make some of my family’s favorite Christmas Eve sides!
For breakfast today I pumped up the usual by adding 30 g of blueberries, or about 10 of them!!! They were soooo good. My combo was:
-1/2 serving old fashioned oats, reheated with water
-1 small banana
-10 g slivered almonds
-1 tbs peanut butter
-10 blueberries

Glad you enjoyed your new video- sounds like a fun Christmas present! Good luck with all the to-dos at work today!

Love the 30 day shred! That would be TOUGH with 10 lbs- I always use really light weights for it hehe.
