California Dreams Part 1… Getting there & the rehearsal dinner
I’m baccckkkk! Sarah and Martino’s wedding weekend was amazing. Did you know it was the five year anniversary of all of us meeting and becoming friends? Insanity. You wil all br proud; I photographed almost ALL of my food this weekend! I also exercised every day. That makes 11 of 12 days in the year 2009. Not bad.
Friday Dadri and I met at the airport. We flew together, PB flew alone, Ili and Pat flew together, and Gina flew alone. We all arrived in Cali around the same time though! I brought a whole grain bagel with me as well as pb, j, and a banana. In the first leg of the trip I ate that.

Ok so that is not exactly a full picture, but that is a bite of my bagel! In the Las Vegas airport Day and I went to Chili’s for a proper lunch. I had a salad with chicken and honey mustard on the side. Plus an unsweetened ice tea.

I look exhausted because I was. And nauseous. Landing in Vegas stinks. When we got to Cali we waited for PB and Gina and then took a cab to the hotel. When we arrived Sarah and Martino were just about to leave for their rehearsal so we got to day hi! Then we went to the gym as a group. I did 3 miles in 27 minutes. It was HARD. probably because of the travel etc. The rehearsal dinner was a blast. With many of Martino’s crazy italian friends there + an intensely jovial atmosphere, the weekend was amazing. We went to this awesome restaurant called The Cannery, but the bus ride there took 45 minutes! There was plenty of times for laughs and singing. We first went upstairs for wine and apps. I had a crab cake, a couple of carrots, and a chicken skewer. Oh! I just remembered that before my shower I snarfled 4 mini wheats because I didn’t feel good. Anyway, back to the party!

Then we went downstairs to a special room to celebrate. They had a cute menu done so you could choose your courses!

Our Italia crew minus Alex and chase. Dadri, Ili, Martino!, Gina, and I

Oh, there are Alex and Chase!

Sarah and Martino looked so happy as the italians sang them a song.

The Italians singing:

Here’s what I ate and drank…
1 bacardi Diet, plus a bit more of a second one

The salad with no dressing and no cheese. I ate about 20% of this

2 pieces of bread with butter (only one shown here)

All the rice and veggies + one scallop from my entree:

Pb wanted me to show you my two true loves this weekend.. Bacardi Diets and bread!

And the fruit plus cracked top of my creme brulee and two bites of Pat’s

And of course… the two lovebirds

Oh, you thought I meant Sarah and Martino? You’re right.. We need another pic of them!

Be back after work with a recap of Saturday and Sunday!!!!!!

You must have been in Newport Beach! I have been to the Cannery several times when I go down to So Cal and they have some of the best sushi rolls ever upstairs.

What a fun weekend!
Bacardi and diets are the best! I always drink them too fast though – so I save them up for special occasions!
