In other news… stellar weekend. Highlights?
-bought PhillyBoy a snowboard with all the details as his Christmas gift! We weren’t planning on fully outfitting him like that but the rental was 50% of the total cost of his own so we just went for it! I am so excited for him!
-bought myself a new board (I have good bindings, boots, etc.). It was 30% off and is the 2008 version of my current board, a ’99 K2 Luna. I can’t believe I am retiring my old board!
-stayed in on Friday, rented The Ugly Truth, and had guacamole and chips for dinner with my husband. It was relaxing and fun.
-saw Leslie randomly at the mall
-saw snow in Philly- something I didn’t think I would see living here.
-finished 80% of my share of the wedding thank you cards!
-had an amazing 9 mile run yesterday with our friends. It was slow, easy, and super fun!
-tried a new restaurant in Center City for tapas. Delicious meal & company. I forgot my camera though.
-And capped the weekend off with a small cup of hazelnut gelato from Capogiro. Heaven.
I gave myself the weekend off from cooking really and more from writing any new posts. It felt good and I feel refreshed and renewed now!
How was your weekend? And highlights you want to share?
I didn’t know you guys were snowboarders – that is very cool! We went on a Christmas house tour this Saturday which we do every year. It is so much fun! Just curious, why did you think you wouldn’t see snow in Philly? I live in Pittsburgh and we get it every winter.
Jessica @ How Sweet It Is: I dated PB for 2 years before we got married and I moved down to Philadelphia. Every time we had a big snowstorm in R.I., Philly had rain or nothing. It snowed only a handful of times so I didn’t think I would see snow in December like that! It made my Christmas, really. ๐ Christmas house tours are so fun!!!!!
you will see plenty of snow down there, they just won’t know what to do with it ๐ Love the decorated tree and kicked out snow board! sounds like you had afabulous weekend!!

Where did you go for tapas? My aunt lives in center city and loves Tinto!
That’s EXACTLY where we went… hence the gelato post dinner (Capogiro is across the street). The food was seriously amazing, and I was SO upset I forgot my camera!
I had a really fun Saturday at Downcity Diner in Prov at a holiday banquet! Plus it snowed here, so it was tres festive ๐
