Finally, some sun.
This weather makes me giddy. A little tease of sun reminds me that spring is around the corner. Actually, it is HERE! Hurray! To celebrate the start of such beautiful weather, Leslie and I went on a little adventure.
First? Mugshots Coffeehouse & Cafe
Mugshots is a cute little place in the Fairmount area of Philadelphia. It is always packed with students studying, artists drinking an afternoon coffee, and friends gathering. They believe in supporting organic agriculture and local farmers whenever possible, and even have a small farmer’s market when the season warrants it. The last time I was there was in September! Leslie and I sat in the sun and shared a spinach salad with candied walnuts, dried cranberries, goat cheese and a raspberry dressing as well as a vegetarian burrito! The portions are a little small for the price, but we both left perfectly content and ready for part 2 of our adventure.
Second? Sweet Endings
Sweet Endings is a self serve frozen yogurt place. It is one of the first ones we have in Philadelphia, and it is located right in the middle of the hustle bustle at 18th and Chestnut in Center City. We hopped in Leslie’s car and rode over there for a special trip! As it was my first time, I had difficulty deciding what to have. In the end I picked mostly peanut butter frozen yogurt, a bit of strawberry, and a bit of chocolate. The peanut butter was by far the star, and next time I would select only that flavor. I also grabbed a few spoonfuls of fun toppings: mini chocolate chips, oreos, raspberries, and mango. Heaven in a bowl!
Adventures in Philadelphia are always really fun. There is an endless list of restaurants and cafes to visit, and I can’t wait to try them all! Happy Sunday in the sun!

How fun! I am seeing these self serve yogurt places all over the blogs. They look so fun and yummy.
