  1. Those calzones look delish. I have only ever made a stromboli before (whats the real difference?) but I love making them. Adding eggplant would be a good way for me to get in the veggies!

  2. Yum! Calzones and strombolis remind me of the Friday nights of my childhood. We’d always order italian food from the local pizza shop ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Calzones are basically a pizza turnover – cheese, sauce and other ingredients inside. Stromboli is (are? I don’t know whether this word is singular or plural!) similar, but the sauce is served on the side for dipping. Some places shape them like a calzone (i.e., pizza folded in half) but I like them best when they’re rolled up.

  4. oooh, I need to make these. for breakfast. right now.

they are starred in my reader. ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Holy smokes that looks so good and I’m not even a fan of calzones. You may make me a convert ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Those look amazing! Did you serve anything on the side?

  7. Those look melty and amazing. I love when a good dinner makes you actually SLOW down and enjoy…something I think all us busy ladies need to do more often. Book marking!

  8. YUM! I have never made a calzone before, always just pizza, but maybe one day I will make my own.

  11. Look AMAZING. I’ve never attempted my own pizza dough. I should!

  12. You just combined two of my favorite foods. I love calzones, but I love eggplant more. I actually have a huge one in my fridge waiting to be made into something fabulous. This might be that something fabulous. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Can you believe…I’ve never had a calzone before?! I know…shame on me…I wish I could just hop on over to your kitchen right now, with a bottle of wine…wait, I don’t drink. Diet soda then. ;-p
