  1. Thanks for your post, which is really encouraging to me. My motivation for avoiding sweets is my mother, who has recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. So I am not eating white flour or white sugar for the most part–80% of the time or more. Thanks for your inspiration.

  2. Omg what does your friend have? I have the same issue, i get stomach issues with too much sweets or carb…i love sweets but i think im being forced to give it up even though i love it 🙁

  3. Read “Get the Sugar Out” by Ann Louise Gittleman if you haven’t already! Tons of wonderful tips and motivation! I’m right here with you, and I’ve lost 10lbs this month!

This is very similar to the way I deal with sweets. For about a month now (yep long time) I haven’t had any sugar apart from fruit. And I certainly sleep better, eat better, and enjoy my food more! And I have lost weight. I don’t have the desire to eat chocolate like I did when I was very unhappy with my weight and ate too many sweets. It really is like an addiction and the withdrawal is awful, but the feeling of not needing sugar is wonderful!
