Super Bowl Recipe Ideas!
This Sunday is the Super Bowl! I have no idea who is playing, but I do know that I will be enjoying my favorite junky treats. I wait all year for the day that bar food is present in everyone’s homes, and I once heard that calories don’t count while watching the game 😉
I think the Super Bowl is a perfect time to make some dishes and buy some dishes prepared. It is supposed to be a relaxing day, and by accepting the help of restaurants and the like, it will remain relaxed. Here are some of my favorite recipes as well as some items I suggest you just buy!
Super Bowl Recipes:
Homemade Guacamole (make a double batch!!)
Turkey Bean Chili (serve with purchased cornbread)
Eggplant Calzones
Buffalo Chicken Calzones
Jessica’s Layered Baked Buffalo Chicken Nachos
Buy:
Soft pretzel tray
Party pizza (known in some places as tomato pie)
Wings with hot sauce, celery, etc
Mini sandwiches (known in some places as a hoagies)
Boxed brownie mix to make brownies (add M&Ms or chocolate chips to make them more special)
We are going over PB’s auntie’s house like we do every year, and I am excited! I promised to bring something, but I’m not sure yet what I’ll bring.
Any other ideas???? My oversize sweatpants are ready and my belly is too!

I’m also dying to try Jessica’s nachos!
So fun! I love homemaking a spinach and artichoke dip! I made a version of Jessica’s Layered Baked Buffalo Chicken Nachos last night- amazing! Enjoy the superbowl 🙂
Sounds like a perfect super bowl menu!!! We usually have a party but this year it is just the husband and me. I’ll have to figure out some fun food to make for two of us.
Am I invited? 😉
what a great menu! guacamole is one of nature’s perfect foods.
The eggplant calzones sound GREAT!
My friends are obsessed with all things buffalo chicken so thanks for turning me onto Erica and Jessica’s recipes. Thanks for making me look good. Have fun at your party!

I have a special pair of sweatpants that I reserve JUST for Superbowl Sunday. Ok, and they’re for Thanksgiving. But let’s keep that a secret. 🙂
I make the group of boys eat hummus, veggies, flat breads, and mini cupcakes. And they love it.
Thanks for the suggestions- they sound great!
i can’t even begin to tell you how jealous i am that you will have philly soft pretzels…
My friend adds pretzels (the little twisty ones) to the top of her brownies and people go crazy (I don’t like chocolate so I’ve never tried them)
