  1. I don’t count much on the grocery bills as they are not of so much contribution as compared to other expense but good to know.

I have to say, I look forward to reading your blog each day.
I find I spend more on baking supplies than groceries.
Seeing as most of my baking supplies are purchased at the grocery store I included that in my weekly grocery bill in my vote.
I tend to make alot of things in large quantities and freeze them it keeps the cost down quite a bit.
Good luck in reducing your grocery bill!

@Laurie, Thank you so much for your nice comment! I like the idea of making big quantities of foods. I also think I might try meal planning again since that seems to work for so many people.

    Thanks again!

  3. I need help too! We spend way to much money on groceries. I plan each meal to the point that we have absolutely no food in our fridge on shop day and still we over spend.

Were groceries less expensive in the city in which you previously lived? That may be a factor to consider!

@Holly, Good point! I’m actually not sure, but food probably was cheaper in Cranston.

  5. We use coupons, look for reduced for quick sale produce and meat items and stock up when there’s a great sale.

  7. I only buy what is on sale, and then when there are great sales, I buy in large quantities and freeze. I spent $60 (just for myself) on my last grocery trip that was the 2nd week in January, and haven’t been since!
