  2. Awwww, your little belly bump is darling!! 😀 So happy for you!

  3. so exciting! i’m so happy to hear that you’re feeling better – it’s so fun to see what’s happening week to week.

  4. Haha I laughed at that last one! Don’t read too much into the heart rate – our little BOY was beating away at 161 BPM, and when I first heard that I thought “it’s a girl!” You are looking more and more fabulous each week. 🙂

  5. You look great! I can’t imagine trying to exercise with a person inside me (not counting having sex of course).

  6. You look fabulous, Sabrina! So happy for you guys!

  7. stephanie

Glad to hear you are feeling better!!!

  12. I’m with Emily – our baby boy’s heartbeat was super fast!!

I say keep trying with the walking – it feels so great to get out in the fresh spring air!

  13. Katherine

Oh my goodness, you are absolutely glowing! I LOVE all of your pregnancy updates! Keep up the good work 🙂

  14. Congrats on week 16! You look fabulous. My coworker had a baby in December and it was amazing to go through the changes “with” her. She would tell me to slow down every time we walked somewhere because she was winded. It really is amazing the difference that happens.

I know you’re calling him/her Phillybaby, but I might still refer to him/her as Rhodeybaby 🙂

  15. I’m so glad you’re finally feeling better. You look great!

  16. Girl, you look FABULOUS! One adorably proud momma! 🙂 Glad you’re finally getting over that nausea hump!

  17. Melissa

you look gorgeous sabrina! nice to hear you’re feeling better 🙂

  18. I love these posts. Seriously, I am just so thrilled and excited for both you and Emily!!

  19. I didn’t feel any movement till 20 weeks…maybe even 21. Don’t worry!

  20. SO glad you’re feeling better. Our little ladies heart rate was always high, but I don’t really believe any of the old wives tales…I think every woman and every baby is different! Glad you got the walk in! I bet that felt fantastic. I love your little 16 weeks sign- too cute. And I was a total nerve case before every appointment until I could feel the baby move- so I can relate. You look gorgeous darling 🙂

  21. I was sick for the first 16 weeks too so I know it can be a little frustrating. Then, when you finally figure out a good eating/exercise schedule (that works for your body) it is like “Yes! I love being pregnant!” Enjoy Sabrina! You are glowing already. 🙂

You’re glowing Sabrina!! It is so exciting to go on this journey with you. I feel as long as you indulge in your cravings once in awhile it will help keep them from getting out of control 🙂

  23. You look great Sabrina! 🙂 Definitely have that whole pregnancy glow thing!! Love reading your updates!

  24. I’m really enjoying reading your pregnancy posts. Our little guy’s heart rate was fast as well so we were expecting a girl, but we are having a boy! I didn’t feel any movement until around 22 weeks. It was freaking me out too, but once you start feeling it, it doesn’t go away! 🙂

As far as working out, it’s something I have written about during my whole pregnancy (I am 33 weeks). Working out is a huge part of my life (I am a personal trainer, but work in marketing full-time right now) so I couldn’t imagine stopping completely. My biggest advice to sticking with it is to make yourself do SOMETHING and you’ll probably feel better and want to do more. I truly think that continuing to workout has made a world of difference in how I feel. I have avoid so many of the awful pregnancy symptoms like back pain and swelling, etc.

The strange thing is that I am still having some really great workouts and although I get tired I don’t notice my wind too much, but I get winded doing the simplest things like changing laundry.

  25. My babies heart beats were both in the 160s at 15wks and 5days or so, since we just found out the sex this week (at 19wks), the girl thing isn’t exactly true 😉 They’re hearts beats were both on the higher side, 158 and 162 or something like that. But they weren’t both girls 😉

You have such a positive attitude and I love all the updates.

  28. Its great that your finally feeling better! Your little baby bump is so cute!

  29. You look beautiful! I’m so glad that you’re feeling better!

  30. Congratulations! We’re due just about the same time, I think 🙂
I love your baby blocks for the week–where did you get those?
I’ve been avoiding bump shots because I haven’t felt creative enough to find a cute way to do it. Love yours!

I am 35 weeks (which is crazy to say!) and I kept my exercise up but definitely slowed down. I used to do spinning 4 mornings a week, maybe a step class, and a some stairmaster. I think around 12/13 weeks I couldn’t handle the bouncing/jiggling and pretty much stayed on the treadmill (some days on an incline, some days a little faster). It’s boring but I feel good after doing it. On Thurs. I walked for 45 mins, at a 4% incline and around 3.1 — I was sweating buckets and winded! It makes me laugh since a few months ago I had to work hard at a spin class to get a good sweat.

Everyone will tell you to enjoy this time — which you should but know it is hard and sometimes not as fun as you’re pre-pregnant self thought it would be. I struggled with pregnancy from 18-28 weeks just because it felt so in-between (showing but not, just started to feel BIG), it was cold and snowy out, and I began to process the emotional changes to myself and my relationship with my husband. I didn’t realize how much growing and changing you do becoming a “mom” (still crazy to say outloud!).

One little gem I found and loved was the Pregtastic podcast on itunes. I also work at home and listen to a lot of NPR, books on tape, etc. I found reading some baby books overwhelming and scary (Don’t read what to expect – it’s awful and fear inducing). Pregtastic is cool and informative.

Good luck and definitely looking forward to your progress!

  35. you’re TOO cute! can’t wait to hear more of your pregnancy journey and see your beautiful baby soon! My best friend just had a baby girl and I cannot get over how cute she is … I want to eat her up lol. (I also can’t stop talking about it haha) Anyway hoping the rest of the pregnancy is fabulous and healthy! xo

Mine is definitely a guess, but from what I’ve heard, food cravings may be a sign to the gender as well! Apparently girls tend to be a more difficult pregnancy, with lighter food choices. If you’re calling on the hot sauce, burritos and peppers, it might be a little man. Time will tell.. Wish you the best, rhodey-baby has been an exciting addition already!

  37. Sounds like everything’s going great! Like everyone else’s comments…my little guy’s heartbeat was over 160 at that point. It’s now down to 140 (but that’s normal 3rd tri).
