BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are so excited and thrilled!!!!!! PB is already picturing throwing a baseball in the yard with his little bambino, and I’m imagining all the soccer games I will go to as a soccer mom. I guess I was already planning for a boy since I’ve been creating a sleep fortress in my room every night. 😀 😀 😀
The moment itself was anti-climatic.. Our little fish was swimming around and the tech asked if we wanted to know the gender. We excitedly said “YES!” and she said “oh, it’s a boy.” That’s it! No, congratulations it’s a boy!!!!!! No enthusiasm. Just normal as though she was pointing out an arm or a nose. I’m sure it is just every day stuff for them since they do this all day long, but we were expecting a bit of excitement. No worries though, we had enough excitement for everyone.
PB then admitted that while he would have been very excited for either- healthy baby being #1- he kind of wished for a boy. It makes me even more excited we are having one!
Now we need to go back to the drawing board because, well, we have agreed on 0 boy names so far. The right name will come along I’m sure, but right now that task seems daunting. Instead of thinking names, I’ve been and will be online shopping…

Now go back and read all about 19 weeks and see if I sound like a woman carrying a boy.. I think so? I will say that my friend Kristin was right on with her eyeball test. She says she has never been wrong with it, and in fact she was right with us!
Oh, and in other news.. we are still measuring ahead. We’ve been 7 days ahead all along and now we are up to 9 days. It makes me feel better about my size to know that bambino is really almost 21 weeks instead of almost 20. It also means that most likely we will have a September baby since my real due date is halfway through the month. September babies rule!!!!

Congratulations!!! He’s going to be so cute! And don’t worry about the name. It will definitely come to you. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law didn’t decide on my nephew’s name until they were in the delivery room and he was born. They picked Jacob, and I can’t imagine him having any other name. The perfect one will come to you!

Congrats!! We had our ultrasound yesterday and found out we are having a GIRL!! I am so very excited, but now we also have to play the name game because the hubby and I had only decided upon a boy name we both agreed on 🙂

@Brit, Look at your left eyeball when you are looking up to the ceiling. If the veins in the left eyeball make a V it’s a boy- if not it’s a girl. Random, right?
