  1. That last minute advice drove me through the roof!! Glad youre getting good sleep and enjoying time with pb!!

  2. Jennifer

I know this is a little off topic, but I was thinking about your post about snacks for the hospital. I was at Costco this past weekend and I saw a big box of individually wrapped Nature Valley Granola Thins (Dark Chocolate). I got some for the hubby, but I fell in love. It is the perfect size, and the thin layer of chocolate is perfect. It’s not the crappy cheapo chocolate that taste weird. I hope you try them.

You look amazing, and you both look soo happy. I wish you both the best. Good luck. Much love to you and your cute, little family.

@Jennifer, Thank you for the suggestion. I will try to grab some from the market if I make it there before I go into labor (which I hope I won’t, but it looks like I will).

        @RhodeyGirlTests,

Sounds like progress has been made. Good Luck!!!!! You are going to do great. I’m soo happy for you. I hope you keep posting, so we can meet the little cutie when he finally gets here.

        🙂

  3. You still look so fantastic for being so close to having the baby! You and PB are too cute. So happy for you:-)

  4. I love that picture of you and PB! You two look so cute! 🙂 I wish you the best of luck! I hope the little one gets here soon!

  5. Sarah

You are the cutest pregnant lady ever, and you and your husband are so sweet together! You’re going to make wonderful parents 🙂

Is it weird that I can’t wait to “meet” your baby either, even though I don’t really know you?

  6. Home stretch girl! I am trying not to let anything get in my way. Right now I am just not sleeping so well but I know it will all be worth it when she comes! My prayers are with you and God’s timing for bambino. I am off to my 36 week appt! 😀

Ugh I HATED the last minute advice, people always told me “once you have him here your going to want him back in” … Well no Ithat was never the case and still isn’t .. It’s such an awesome experience so I think it’s fantastic that your excited. It’s hard to focus on anything else. Congrats and I hope time flies by so you can finally meet your little one! Looking forward to seeing some pictures!

  8. Hang in there – you look fantastic and I think it’s great that you’re cocooning. I think that’s necessary sometimes – no matter what your situation is! Can’t wait to mee him. You will be a fantastic mommy.

  9. Getting so close!! You still look fab. Can’t wait to meet him!

  10. SO exciting!!! I think it’d be really reassuring to know you don’t have a 10 pound brewing in there- my worst fear! Maybe letting you sleep better is your body’s way of saying it’s almost time… 😉

  11. You look absolutely fabulous! and i’m so glad you’re feeling so much better now.. i definitely agree with you on the “sleep” thing that everyone keeps telling you.. they told me too.. it’s hard to sleep when you are so excited an anxious for something so wonderful.. But cocooning and giving yourself time for you is definitely key 🙂 I love the “one thing a day” thing you’ve been doing! SO SMART!~ I am so excited to see little bambino! And so excited for you in all aspects. You will be an amazing mommy! 🙂

  12. Kristen

Can’t wait to “meet” your little bambino! I have loved following your journey! Good luck!!

  13. You look fantastic! 🙂 Everyone always gives the sleep while you can advice but honestly every baby is so different – maybe you’ll be blessed with a baby that sleeps great from the start. It still is tiring but not nearly as exhausting as one who is up all night! I hope your Dr’s guess is right! Mine was waaay off in the guess lol.

  14. YES on all the condescending advice – it is so unnecessary! I get a lot of “you know you won’t need all that stuff for a while” or “all babies really need is a bed and a boob.” Just let me be excited and stop making fun of me for setting up my nursery, okay?

You look goooooorgeous and totally ready. Wish our babies weren’t on opposite coasts so they could have a play date! 🙂

    • RhodeyGirlTests

@Emily Malone, That’s EXACTLY how I feel! I know a lot of things I am doing are typically first time mom things, but I don’t care! I am having fun with it and it makes me happy. Also, I KNOW I won’t be sleeping, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to meet my baby right now.

And agreed on the play date.

  15. Stephanie

That first picture doesn’t even look real! It looks like you stuck a watermelon in your sweatshirt. So funny how that happens.

That advice is so crazy. I mean, every baby is different. I figure, all you can do is prepare the best you can and then take it day by day. And have fun!

  16. The comment “sleep while you can” drove me crazy! There’s lots of people with negative comments when it comes to pregnancy…I tried to stay away from them 🙂 And hey, it’s not so bad. I sleep in 6 hour stretches (even with breastfeeding!), wash my hair, and even get dressed! (all with my husband’s help of course).

I love following your pregnancy. Best of luck to you 🙂

  17. You look so beautiful and happy! Enjoy this time however you wish…you deserve it!

  18. You look great. Order some takeout, relax on the couch and suck up the silence before your life is full of babyness.

  19. I used to get really frustrated when people would tell us to sleep while we could. It’s not like you can bank the hours you slept now and use them towards those tired nights in a few weeks. Just enjoy your time together.
Honestly, once you find your rhythm it’s not so bad, I’ve managed to shower every day since Aaron was born. The first few weeks will be a challenge but so, so worth it (breastfeeding included). You look fantastic, and I’m glad to hear you’re feeling well. Just relax and let yourself be spoiled!

  20. I hated that sleep advice too! Felt the exact same way!

  21. Smagaha

People will tell you to sleep because you won’t get any, but thats not always true! You will find ways to get your rest and get everything done that you need to. Sometimes you don’t even know how you do it, but you do! My son was in the nicu for a week, we stayed at the hospital in a room and I STILL got sleep! Like you said, enjoy your time with your hubby now and do whatever you want! Enjoy!

  22. Enjoy your last few days- hope baby gets the message and comes soon!

  23. You look beautiful. I’m sure the baby will be beautiful. 🙂

  24. I remember this time ALL too well! Ella was born at 41 weeks and I was SO ready. EVERYONE says “sleep while you can” and I always thought that was silly because it’s not like you can “bank” your sleep. Ha. But in all seriousness, I hated it then and was like no I just want to meet her, etc…but embrace the last few moments of this miracle of pregnancy. I am loving every second of being a mom (Ella is 4 1/2 months now and SO much fun)…but I see you and other girls and sometimes i miss having her in my belly. Right now is such a special time, the last few days of it just being you and your husband, for your lives will be forever changed!!!

BTW…I was SO spoiled from like week one. Ella was an amazing sleeper so it’s NOT always true that babies keep you up all hours of the night. My best advice is though to def take care of yourself and get help, have hubby take time off if he isn’t already. Sleep/rest when the baby sleeps and just embrace those first few weeks like I said to embrace the last few being pregnant. Those first few weeks are so special. Try to not have a million visitors all the time, even though everyone will be excited to see the baby. I found Ella got over stimulated and I got overwhelmed and needed rest. You look beautiful and are in for the ride of your life. It’s absolutely amazing. Be prepared to love that little baby more than you though you could EVER love anything…and love your husband more even though you didn’t think it was possible after you see him holding that precious boy 🙂

  25. oh…and I tried every ridiculous method too….. including one involving a breast pump that actually gave me contractions but she still came 2 weeks later. It’s so true they come when they’re ready! Looking back I am glad she came when she did 🙂

    Good luck!!!!!

  26. You look beautiful! Very excited for you. Try to cherish your last few days as a family of two. All the best!

  27. Sabrina – you look fantastic and your very real attitude towards being in those last few weeks is something I so appreciate! I’m 31 weeks along and love reading your blog. When I have those moments of being overly “over” being preggo, I write a letter to the baby, put it in an envelope for her to read later. Most of the time I end up crying…oops, but at least it can help you pass a an hours time! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Dear S &A I have been on my knees this morning and just found a perfect 4 leaf clover. It made me think of you and to ask all the Blessings of Heaven.

  29. You look absolutely adorable and you and PB are too cute! So happy and excited for you both and I can’t wait for us all to meet the lil man! 😉

  30. I won’t tell you to sleep while you can because it annoyed the heck out of me. Am I a bit more tired now? Absolutely! But I couldn’t be happier that Hailey is finally here! I can’t wait to hear (or should I say read?) that you’re in labor. Hang in there mama! I know how tedious those last days (and overdue days!) are.

  31. Ashley

People are so dumb with the “sleep while you can” comments – You can’t save it like it’s a damn coupon, so get off my back about it! Drove me crazy.
