Exciting news! We’re moving!
If you’re wondering why I have been so absent, it’s because I’ve been busy daydreaming about our big move, which can be less stressful with the help of professionals such as the best local movers!
This has been a year of three serious and incredible changes.
1- BABY
2- HUSBAND GOT NEW AMAZING JOB
3- NEW HOUSE!
We are still living in the city but we’re upgrading to a slightly bigger place with a balcony, garage, and an extra bedroom. It is basically my dream house without the yard. We are even closer to the heart of Philadelphia. We can finally grill or lay out on our balcony. We won’t have to shovel snow from our cars before running to the market. We can have more babies without stressing out over space. Our guests won’t have to sleep in the ocean with Raffi (since the guest bed is in there and we use a very loud white noise machine set to ocean waves all night).
This exciting news means my to do list is a mile long, and that’s before we even actually move in. I sadly go back to work January 2nd (I am sooo not ready) so I want to get as much done now. I find that I can only get a few things done at a time with my sidekick hanging around the house, so it’s important that I do what I can when I can. I spend most of my days shaking toys at Raffi and begging him to smile.
He’s very stingy with his smiles.
We still need to find a nanny, so if anyone is looking please email me! Having a baby around means that unless you’re supermom you are only getting a few things done a day. At the encouragement of RookieMom Heather, I just made a did do list so my husband and I can both be proud of all the things I’ve done today. It felt like so little until I looked at it. And now I’m proud.
Anyway, that’s our big exciting news! I’ve been dying to share it with you for several weeks now, but until we made it through the inspection I kept my mouth shut.
Hoping to be back soon with a baby, sleep, swaddling, and post baby body update.
*The kitchen photo is of our current kitchen. I will post pics of our new house once we’re there.

Congratulations Sabrina! So happy for you all!
Awesome! So exciting!
Congrats!! That is wonderful news!!
Congratulations on everything! Sounds awesome 🙂
Congratulations!
I really like the idea of writing a “did do” list. Seems much more satisfying that looking at an undone to-do list on days when baby care takes up most of our time.
Congratulations! Your new house sounds wonderful.
I love the idea of a “did do” list. It’s a nice way to look at things. 🙂
Wow — what a few months you’ve had! So excited for you 🙂
Yay!
Sooooooooo exciting!!
I liked sleeping in Raffi’s room with the white noise machine going! Next time I visit, I still plan on sleeping with Raff-meister! The did-do list is such a positive spin.. I love it! Can’t wait to come visit and see the new house!
xoxox MZOOF
That’s wonderful! Congrats!
I need to make more “to-do” lists. Since having the baby I can’t remember what the heck I am doing half the time!
We bought and moved into our first home when our daughter was 3 weeks old. Crazy times.
Congrats!
Congrats on your news! More space is always wonderful. I have a friend who is doing an entire move to another city with a newborn next month so I do not envy her. COngrats on your to do list. Mine is on my Google task list and I try to cross at least 1-2 out a day. Wishful definitely. I find I am doing a lot more when I have my little one in my Moby. She does not seem to bother the movement or noise.
@Noelle (@singerinkitchen), I love google tasks!
Congrats on the new move, how exciting. You might be interested in a blog post I did last week (2 parts) on post baby body image, that surprisingly generated a lot of interest and emails. Thought you might like it too.
Yay! I already knew this but I’m so excited for you and your family! Congratulations!
What incredible news, Sabrina! Congrats to you guys! Good luck on the move.
Congrats! I hope everything goes well. Lots of changes for you but all positive 🙂
Congrats! I was about to say how much I loved that kitchen but if that’s from your current house I can’t imagine how nice the new one will be!
Congrats Sabrina! I love the idea of a “did do” list! I feel more accomplished already 🙂
Congrats, S! I hope it’s closer to my neighborhood! 🙂
so exciting! can’t wait to be neighbors 🙂
Congrats! That is so exciting for you and your family 🙂
Congrats! Margarita actually told me the news. Will be sad to see you guys go though….but totally understandable. Another family just moved out yesterday for exactly that reason (do you know little Maddy who lived in C? her family).
@Dara, Dara, your buddy Maddy left you?? That’s ok – you’ll have to come hang with Raffi before we leave. Did they end up renting their place out?
Exciting news! Congrats on hubs new job and the new place!
She did! They needed more space with the little one now. It’s all good though – they’re just going to Logan Square. 🙂 And I just checked on Craigslist and it’s still there….they’re planning on renting it out but haven’t gotten anyone yet.
everything is so perfect! I am so happy for you, girl.
That might be my favorite Raffi picture. He looks adorable. I am so excited and happy for you and your new house! It’s going to be so fun for you to decorate and organize!
How exciting!! We are in the same boat as y’all!! My husband just started his new job 2 weeks ago, we *hope* to close on our new house mid-march and our little girl is due mid-april!! So exciting, and SO stressful! Good luck with everything!!
