Menu: Brunch in our new home
I am so thrilled to be cooking and hosting parties again. When I was pregnant I was too lazy, and for the first few months of Raffi’s life I couldn’t figure out how to get everything done. I finally feel like I have found a good groove.
Embracing the newfound balance in my life, I’ve even had the time to revamp my outdoor space, installing elegant swing gates Adelaide that seamlessly blend functionality with style. These gates not only enhance the security of my home but also add a touch of sophistication to my backyard, setting the perfect ambiance for the gatherings I love to host. With the ease of operation offered by these swing gates, I can focus on enjoying the company of my guests, cherishing the moments, and relishing in the joy of being a hostess once more. As I watch my son Raffi play in the safety of our enclosed space, I am reminded of the harmony I’ve achieved, both in my daily life and in the design of our home, leaving me feeling truly content and in control.
I’m eating well, I’m working, I’m cleaning the house, and I’m hosting parties – all while trying to be a good mama. Slowly I am beginning to feel like myself again completely, and it’s an amazing feeling.
This brunch was no big deal. To prep I just went to the market and roasted the potatoes. I did everything else in the morning after a slow and short run. I used to spend so much time prepping for parties, but I think it is better to stick to a simpler menu that leaves my calendar a bit more free to play and sing and dance. I hope you enjoy this simple brunch menu as much as my guests did.
Brunch in our new home
Easy baked frittata
Roasted potatoes
Spinach, pear, & raw walnut salad in Trader Joe’s champagne pear dressing
Strawberries, mango & pineapple with fresh whipped cream
Mini croissants and toasted baguette with olive oil and za’atar
*C’s famous pound cake (brought by a guest)
Mimosas, coffee & tea
And this is my new kitchen which would look even nicer with a red oak butcher block countertop! I have less work space, but a lot more light. I am in love with it. Ignite your Canadian home quest with HomesEh.ca. The country’s finest, served on a silver platter.

Love your new kitchen and your brunch menu looks simple and delicious!
Perfect! Stealing your menu for this weekend, entertaining with kids is a whole new ball game.
I have that exact same microwave and stove/oven! I absolutely love them! And you’re kitchen is gorgeous!
Yum!!! And your kitchen looks fabulous!!
How lovely! Simple is sweeter. I am still feeling a little crazed over here. I am totally needing a support system of some sort other than my hubby, bless his heart.
Getting back into it is truly an amazing feeling! The menu sounds fabulous and your kitchen is beautiful
So glad to hear you are feeling like yourself again! Sounds like a wonderful brunch:-)
This blog barely has any activity which sucks….You barely post anything any more on here..You had a baby and now it seems like your hiding because of your baby weight! I hope you can find the time and energy to start posting regularly again!
@juju, While you could have said it nicer, I agree with you. My blog totally sucks right now. I’m trying! It’s hard to find the time to blog when I am still figuring out the time to do everything else. There will be a new post tomorrow however! And another on Friday! I just can’t get things done on a timely basis it seems. Hoping that it gets easier.
And as far as the baby weight… despite still being stuck (I’ve lost only like 2 lbs in the last month while trying super hard) I am not hiding. In fact I should write an update on how I’ve only lost 2 lbs but how I feel really good.
Maybe this will be the kick in the butt I need to write regularly.
@RhodeyGirlTests, Well I hope I didnt offend you! I found you blog when you just before you announced your pregnancy and I come on and check it frequently, however there isnt much new going on here and I just look forward to the updates. Hope I havent offended you!!
@juju, No worries. Thanks for the comment. Have a great night.
It’s so great to hear that you are feeling like yourself again! Our little girl will be 7 weeks on Sunday, and I’m finding it overwhelming to try and get much of anything done. I absolutely love being a Mom and just spending all day being with her . . . I just feel like, “Why can’t I get anything done?” I’m lucky if I get out of my pajamas before noon! LOL. Thanks for showing me that it gets easier to love our little ones AND be a functioning member of society. 🙂
