Insanity Results: Before & After Photos
I’m done with Insanity, and I’m really happy with my results. I love seeing before and after photos online, so I thought I’d share mine with you in case you feel the same. I am a real person and these are my real results. I didn’t magically gain a 6 pack or lose all of the fat on my body, but I did lose several pounds and inches. I know that with continued exercise and a healthy diet my body will continue to change, but these are my results after one round of Insanity.
Note: I am currently 3.5 months post partum with my second child and I am breastfeeding. I really want to get back on track and plan to have a botox while breastfeeding. I just need the approval of my OB-Gyne.
Number of days it took me to complete the 60 day program: Maybe 68? I repeated a few days here and there as needed.
Average number of times I snoozed every morning: 4
Number of sweets I ate throughout the program: 2, both soft serve ice cream cones with rainbow sprinkles
Number of injuries sustained from Insanity: 0
Number of weight loss plateaus sustained: 3
And here’s the good stuff:
Number of pounds lost: 9
Amount of energy gained: lots
Number of pushups I can now do: 20 vs. 2 before
Here are my before and after photos. Please keep in mind that I have a crazy busy life so we took these in about 10 seconds early in the morning post workout. No time for retakes!
I have reached my pre-pregnancy weight, which was my first goal. It took me a really long time to get there after Raffi, but with the help of Insanity I reached my pre-pregnancy weight in just 3.5 months this time. I also need to thank my friend T who is a Beachbody coach. She helped me tweak my diet here and there to continue to lose weight while protecting my milk supply. I pushed past 3 different weight loss plateaus with her help. I also did some treatments like coolsculpting in Las Vegas, NV and skin tightening in Virginia Beach, VA to get rid of stubborn fat and bring back a bit of how my body looked before pregnancy. And Trig’s influence helped too. He’s been doing Insanity since February, and many mornings I wouldn’t have gotten my workout in without him there to push me. Hopefully he can say the same about me. It is definitely easier to exercise and eat well when your partner is doing the same.
I worked a lot harder post partum this time around, but I was also fairly relaxed about it (despite what you might think from these posts). I just did what I had to do to be healthy. Losing weight and being in shape is not just about how I look, although of course that is part of it. It’s also just about being the healthiest version of myself. I lost my mom when she was 42 to cancer, and I want to do everything possible to stay healthy for my children. That’s why I focus on real foods instead of diet foods (as an aside – I always choose whole milk, real butter, sugar over Splenda, etc for this reason). Being in shape is about feeling good about myself, having energy to do the things I want to do, and being the healthiest me.
What’s next? FOCUS T25!!!!! I’m really excited to try Shaun T’s latest workout. Each workout is only 25 minutes which is absolutely manageable for a working mom of 2. Insanity was not sustainable for me, and in fact it took me longer than the 60 days to complete the program. I imagine that it will be a lot easier with Focus T25 because everyone can find 25 minutes in their day to exercise – including me. It feels so good to move my body every morning, and I’m excited to try something new in combination with my treatments like liposuction in Denver, CO or liposuction in Shavano Park, TX.
Now that I’ve reached my pre-pregnancy weight I can focus on losing more weight and tightening up. I’m still about 10 lbs above my wedding weight and still only half of my clothes fit well, so I know I can make a lot more progress. My next goal is 7 lbs away. I might just get a procedure like a tummy tuck in Naperville, IL to achieve faster results. Join me for this next journey – Focus T25!

Great job Sabrina! I’m doing Focus T25 right now and I absolutely love it. It is much better for someone who is busy and doesn’t have time for the longer workouts of Insanity. Hope you love it too.
You’re such an inspiration! I look forward to reading your review of T25. From reading about it online, it sounds like something I’d like to try but I want to hear your take on it first.
You look fantastic, Sabrina! I’ve thought about trying Insanity for a while, just to switch things up. Maybe I’ll finally go for it!
Congrats, you look great! I am just now starting to work on eating healthier and exercising to lose baby weight, my son is a little over 2 months old 😉 Thanks for the inspiration!
Well done mama! You look fabulous. I just started T25 after doing Insanity and I love it. Its perfect for mama’s with busy schedules. Can’t wait to hear what you think about it!
Wow! You look amazing! And I’m even more impressed with your tenacity. I can’t imagine juggling 2 kids and still finding time to do it. You’re going to be my inspiration. One question – did quickly losing weight seem to affect milk supply at all? That’s always my fear.
Thanks! I’ve been really careful with my milk supply since I had issues every time I dieted after having Raffi. I think three things have helped:
1. I started eating this way basically right after delivery, so my supply was developed while on a lower calorie diet.
2. I make every single calorie count. I don’t consume any junk because I can’t afford to – my body needs as many nutrients as it can get. I consider my peanut butter to be junk (it contains sugar), but I need the fat so I compromise on that.
3. I am constantly evaluating my diet and supply to make sure that one does not affect the other. I slowly dropped my calories over time and since my supply hasn’t been affected by it I keep going. I will say though that I”m eating a significant amount – between 2,000 and 2,200 cals a day. I just recently dropped it to 1,800-2,000 last week, but my supply is still fine.
awesome! motivation for me to kick the ice cream habit now!
This is great!! You are a healthy, fit, beautiful woman, and don’t ever take that for granted, even if you have an extra pound here or there!! 🙂
Great job Sabrina! You did an awesome job sticking to the workouts and great eating!!!
Hats off to you Sabrina! You look great.
Awesome! Your last pic shows such a positive transformation, you are all lean, healthy smiling standing tall 🙂 Way to go! Best luck with T25. Could I do without doing Insanity first? I can find 25 min but not 60 min right now.
Thanks! I feel that T25 is a much easier workout than Insanity simply because of the time factor. I would have done it first had it been out after I had the baby, but it just came out last month. Enjoy!
Long time reader, first time commenter :-). Just wanted to say you look great! Congratulations on your results!
You look AMAZING! Love it 🙂
Wow you look incredible! That is some serious motivation for me to finally give Insanity a shot. Congratulations!
I’ve read your blog on and off for a few years now. You look great! It took me a full year and then some to lose weight after my first baby. If I ever do this whole crazy thing again, I promised myself to be serious right from the start.
You should be so proud of yourself! Looking forward to your T25 updates- I’m about to start Insanity 🙂
Thank you! Good luck with Insanity.
WAY TO GO!!!! You are doing awesome. Love that you are setting realistic goals and being HEALTHY above all. Go you mama!!!
thank you for the honest account of Insanity after having a baby! My girls are 19 mo apart and I think i will look into T25, as I just could not figure out how I can fit 60 min workout into the toddler and newborn schedules. Good luck with you weight loss and getting in better shape, although you look in great shape now! I will have to be honest, I was a little wary of your dieting while BF-ing but you made it work and I am so happy that you shared your journey!
Thanks. Congrats on your newborn! To be honest I was a little wary of my dieting while breastfeeding too. I’ve been really careful and knew from the beginning that I might have to stop dieting at any time. I feel really lucky that so far I’ve been ok. I hope I continue to be able to diet without it affecting anything!
I’m very excited about this program. I never heard about it until you mentioned it.
I can’t wait for you to review it.
Good luck
🙂
Sometimes our bodies are able to do amazing transformations! You just have to make regular actions directed for that and never stop on your way. For me physical activity works best. Recently I have learned that proper recovery is of the same importance as training itself. There are special products aimed at helping your muscles to recover quickly. Besides, these products also help in reducing your weight and cellulite! Check at here militarygradenutritionals.com/blog/military-for-women/. Now my body is grateful and willing to exercise whenever I ask it to 🙂
