Ali’s 1st Birthday Party at Nest Philly
Ali’s 1st birthday party at Nest Philly was a blast. When Raffi was small I took session after session of classes at Nest Philly. I thank Joanie, who taught our classes, for guiding me through the difficult early transitions in motherhood. I fell out of my weekly visits at Nest after Ali was born. After attending a birthday party there recently, I fell back in love and just HAD to have Ali’s party there.
If you’re in the Philadelphia area and are looking for someplace to host a children’s birthday party, Nest Philly is an awesome place to go. I don’t know that I can ever do another house party after the ease and fun of this one. The Nest staff took care of everything from making sure we had balloons in the colors of the rainbow, to providing the entertainment, to arranging the pizza delivery, to loading our car with all the presents at the end of the celebration.
This is the list of things I chose to take care of for the party: favors, cake, fruit, salad, and soda. That’s it. They literally did everything else.
By the way, the favors were a huge hit and they were so easy and inexpensive. Instead of buying a bunch of little junks and slapping them in a bag, I got a nice big bouncy ball for each kid and wrote his or her name on it with a metallic Sharpie. The balls were $1.49 at Walmart (the same ones are $2 at CVS right now), and I grabbed a pack of metallic Sharpies for $5. I’ve seen a few of our friends playing with their bouncy balls at the park, and I love that they can’t be lost since their names are on them.
Here are the highlights of Ali’s party at Nest Philly!
