Looks delicious… but doesn’t taste that way.
I need a lesson in making cheese boreg from the true Armenians.
I must master it.
Sometimes the simplest recipes are the hardest ones for me to execute.
Or is it just the time of year?
My last major baking disaster was 3 years ago this week.

PhillyBoy and I ate our weight in gelato in Italy.
My favorite classic cone was from an old love… Festival Il Gelato.
That gelateria and I were good friends in 2004. I visited almost every day, and thanked it for all the fat pants I earned during that time.
I would pay anything for una coppa di nocciola this afternoon.
Signed, Gelato is my middle name.

In 2 weeks I’ll be in San Francisco for a few days.
I really hope that I can make it over to the Ferry Plaza.

And some beautiful California berries.
And a Noe Valley Bakery scone.
I’m already hungry.

Our tree is up.
It only took 4 hours, 3 swears, 2 naps, and a trip to CVS.

Even after some visitors, Thanksgiving, and tree trimming, I’m all smiles.
Smiling’s my favorite!  And so are my new ornaments.

Time to think up the new Christmas Eve menu!!!!!!!!!

I know it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but it’s time to bring out the holiday tea, right?
My reasons are long…
It’s cold out! I have some leftover from last year! I’m drinking lots of tea anyway!
The Christmas music is on, but it’s no time to judge.

I love meals that can be put together by random items we keep in the house.
I’d like to make more meals like that.
This was just a simple bean salad, but you’d think it was something really special.
What else can I make from pantry items?

He planned a surprise party for me with all my Philly friends!
AND it was at Jon’s on South St. on the deck!
It was a fabulous night.
I couldn’t stop smiling.

My PhillyBoy has been a saint over the last two weeks.
The reward? HOMEMADE PIZZA!
This dough is the same as this recipe, but all bread flour.
I made it during my lunch break so there would be no clean up tonight.
I can’t wait for dinner!!!!!

I love roasted tomatoes.
And grilled corn on the cob.
And soft creamy potatoes. And fresh feta.
Mix them all up and you have a summer meal in a bowl.
I’m going to miss summer… but to be honest, it’s only for the tomatoes.
Fall is my favorite. I can’t wait for fall.
