  2. Maybe you can get a lentil soup recipe from one of his family members?

    I used to work in an Armenian restaurant and would always have their Lentil Soup for lunch when I was there. I never made it myself, but I found a similar recipe a couple weeks ago and made it. The lemon is key, imo.

    We take sweet potatoes, peel them, cut them into cubes and throw them in a ziploc on Sunday when we get back from the grocery store. Then, all week, we have them at our disposal:
    1. Throw them into a mixing bowl
    2. Add olive oil, kosher salt and paprika
    3. Bake
    Slightly different flavor, good variation on your piece above.
