Oh what a night!
I am so sorry I haven’t had a chance to write about the cookie recipes yet. I promise I will get to it- I bought all the ingredients, flopped the first recipe (more on that tomorrow) and have been too busy to even discuss! Last night I went straight from work all the way to N.H. to pick up a present for my dad (it is a painting… more on that in a few weeks). I was not happy to do it during the week but that is what worked best for the artist so I did it. Bad idea. Boston traffic was hellish PLUS I get really sleepy driving on dark roads which is not safe at all. Anyway, I safely picked up the painting and turned around to head home when I realized that I would be passing Loco’s parents house (where she lives). I am never in that area so I called her up and went by for 20 minutes. I had such a nice time with her, her boyfriend (nicknamed PB also, but bc it is his initials), her parents, and her dog Duncan (or Duncacino as we like to call him!). Then I drove home and made it right in time to pick up DrumMajor from the airport at 10:15. She had a hotshot job interview and was flying home from it. All smiles which means I bet she gets the job. Kind of sad because it will mean she is moving but I don’t want to jump the gun. Time will tell! Anyway, I slept through my alarm again this morning and was supposed to be at work early to finish up some things and obviously didn’t. I feel like my life is outta control!
SO sorry that I am not blogging on time or thoroughly or PROPERLY right now but as soon as Christmas is over it will hopefully get back to normal. Also on top of all of the madness I am in the midst of the biggest part of the wedding planning and so I am consumed by that too, but that sure is a super fun distraction!! I bought two pairs of wedding shoes I have had my eyes on for a while and hopefully one will fit!
Anyway, food for yesterday.
In the afternoon I tried to have a regular hot chocolate (always made with water) with a great harvest biscotti but somehow it tasted nasty so I had a chocolate chip oatmeal walnut cookie instead (we had a bunch of sweets from there for the office).
Then on my way to N.H. I had a Pecan Pie Larabar. Tried to take some pics of it while in traffic but I just couldn’t do it.
Finally, Loco’s parents fed me a bit of leftover shells au pistou (a parsley based pesto) with some homemade bread.
None of the pics were worth it so I am just going to skip out on them. Sorry kids.
Also, for breakfast I had the usual oats combo. 1/4 cup old fashioned + 1 tbs pb + 1 banana + 10 g slivered almonds.
I’ll be back later with a RETRO LUNCH.
Do NOT apologize for being late with blogging and all that – you post every single day, and are quit dedicated. You have a lot going on right now, so just take care with that and be well!! Just blog whenever you can 🙂
Sounds like life is hectic– nice work taking care of your dad’s present and sneaking in a visit to a friend!
You’re a busy lady! Don’t worry at all. Enjoy the wedding planning!!
