Lara Balls!
Oh, Maggie sure is such a sweetie! A few months ago I sent her a Z-bar or two to try, and in return she surprised me with some LaraBalls! Seriously, such a fun thing to come home to! I love surprises in the mail! Thank you so much!
Since we are due to get 8-12 inches of snow today I made the executive decision to have my breakfast plus a morning snack and then have a late lunch at home, mid-storm. We are closing the office early to avoid last year’s problems, and I have big plans!!! Lunch at home, wrapping presents while watching Elf, baking sugar cookies, working out, cleaning.. oh it is going to be a lovely afternoon! And no plans tonight since Raz’s surprise party was canceled (we were going to go bowling and have Whole Foods pizza and homemade brownies). While I am sad it was canceled I don’t mind. Getting snowed in would only get better if PB was there to join me!!!
Last year on December 14th (link to my post from last year) we had such a terrible storm that no one was expecting and it caused such a huge mess. Parents not knowing where their kids were (they were stuck on a bus), accidents everywhere, etc. That’s why they are taking such precautions this year! And remember how yesterday I was complaining about how crazy people are with their food shopping before a storm (which is not just a Rhodey thing I hear)?? I blogged about it last year too!
So breakfast was the usual….
and then just now I had one of Maggie’s Lara Balls. I swear, they are even better than the real thing! Check out her recipe here. I thought I would be too lazy to ever make these for myself but I think one day I will just have to suck it up and do it. I bet they would be great right out of the fridge or freezer! And I KNOW PB would love them. I gave one to my dad and sister in law since they both love things like that and they loved them too!
Thanks again Maggie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hurry up snow so we can go home and be festive!!
Only 4 or 5 days until I get to see PhillyBoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ow! I wish we were getting out early today! My parents are currently in PA and my sister in MA and its so crazy to hear how cold etc its been up there! Stay safe!
