Simple Guacamole
I’ve had guacamole in some form for the last 4 days.
We had friends over for Game 1 of the World Series, who might’ve also bet on sites such as 벳무브 가입, and I made a 6 avocado batch of guacamole. Yes, that is a lot of guac. Guess what? It disappeared, so the next day I made another mini batch of guacamole just for PhillyBoy and I, and yes, we ate the whole thing. I also bought some gorgeous roses for the house, just because.
Good guacamole, in my opinion, MUST be homemade. It is so easy to make and tastes so fresh and delicious. I can’t believe there was a time when I hated avocado! I remember going to Hawaii with my friend’s family as a kid and ordering a turkey club with NO AVOCADO (yes, in caps) every day for lunch by the pool. One day it came with the avocado and I refused to eat it. If only I knew how tasty avocados really are. I finally learned when my friend Lauren asked me to help set up a party she was having at her house. I was in charge of making the avocado according to her recipe. It was a bowl of creamy heaven, and I was hooked. After that memorable night (in more ways than one) I went on a quest to perfect the recipe. I think I finally did, and now I am sharing it with you!
RhodeyGirl’s Simple Guacamole:
Ingredients:
3 avocados
1 medium tomato, seeded and finely chopped
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
juice of 2 limes
2 tbs chopped fresh cilantro
dash kosher salt
Directions:
Using a potato masher or fork, mash the avocado, tomato, and red onion in a medium bowl. Don’t overmash as a few chunks of avocado add great texture to the guacamole. Stir in the juice of 2 limes, cilantro, and a dash of kosher salt. Enjoy!
I like to pair this with a few blue corn tortilla chips, or for an even tastier combo, use it in place of salad dressing on a fresh salad. Tomorrow will be another night with another World Series game, and yes, I plan on having more of this guacamole! You should too! GO PHILLIES! And by the way, if you’re a huge fan as well and you want to bet on them, you can go to sites such as 토토커뮤니티.
While watching the game I also plan on packing for the Foodbuzz Festival, which I am attending in San Francisco this weekend!
Go Y—–s!
Thanks for highlighting my fave food 🙂
I love this great simple recipe, might make it soon bc I have some avacados to use up
Hopefully I’ll get to meet you this weekend at the festival : )
I love homemade guac. Unfortunately, I can’t find avocados around here unless they are hard, bright green, and $10 a pop. Gotta wait til there back in season.
yes indeed, go phillies!! love this classic recipe, makes me wish i had better access to ripe avocados (i live in england).
*camera envy*
That’s a lot of guac you made!! Sounds like it’s a big hit though!
I love guacamole – it is great on just about everything.
I love avocados so much! You should totally try eating guacamole mixed with pasta! Honestly, one of the best things I have ever put in my mouth.
I 100% agree that guac needs to be homeade. The packaged kind you get from the store is just nasty.
The real stuff is full of the buttery taste which I love. I could eat a full batch myself, easily.
Those flowers look amazing 🙂 Love the gac recipe. Hope you are having a great day!
Yuuummyy; Rhodey Girl. I love this guac recipe…this looks delish and your flowers are beautiful. Hope all is well with you and I’m looking forward to meeting you in San Fran on Friday for the Foodbuzz Festival!

Thank you chau!
Love it! 🙂 I make this recipe all the time but I add one clove of fresh garlic – gives it a unique complementary taste.
