  5. traveleatlove

Congratulations! It is hard but so worth it when you are done.

  6. Great race recap! Regardless of the cold weather and the crappy corral assignment, you did awesome!

  7. Way to go!! What horrible conditions… so awesome that you could finish with smiles on your faces. Isn’t love grand!?

  8. Awesome! Sorry you are disappointed in your time. After reading several other bloggers’ experiences with the Disney corrals, I wonder if they just throw people in wherever they see fit? Dodging all those walkers would annoy me, too!

  9. maha maaita bilbeisi

great job guys, u r amzing really, will wait to read about ur secret!!!

  10. I read the entire recap! I haven’t been to Disneyworld in 15 years so it’s nice to see pictures of all the places you guys ran through.

So sorry to hear about the nano! Especially since you took the time to make a playlist. What a bummer!

And what is with the corral assignments? That really stinks!

I think it’s adorable that you two ran together the entire time. I want to do that with my husband sometime.

Can’t wait to hear the secret!

  11. Raz

Made me teary just reading it.. amazing accomplishment

  12. carolyn~

great job! I can totally relate to the line of walkers…I had the same complaint when I did Nike 1/2 marathon in San Fran this past October. There really needs to be some race rules…I sensed they were new to the races and did this for fun and had no clue how annoying they were to the runners…and why walkers were in any corral other than the last was beyond me! Anyway great recap,,,congrats again!

  13. So proud of you — it is so nice that you stayed together, and even nicer that you did it for charity!!!!

  14. Renee

Amazing story… congrats to you both!!

  15. CONGRATS!!!! That is so awesome. You guys are so inspiring.

  16. Congratulations! It seems like a really tough race and you both did so well! I am glad you got to have some fun and meet some cool bloggers while you were there. And like I said on twitter, I want to know the secret!!! πŸ˜€

  17. You did amazing! It was cold, wet, and you braved it all. At least you didn’t slip on ice. πŸ™‚

I hope you made it safe back to Philly. I had soo much fun hanging out with you this weekend and I can’t wait to see you again in February!

  18. P.S. I can relate to all the people in your way! That happened to me a lot in my first half and it was so annoying, but I can’t believe you were in the last group!

  19. Congrats! SUCH an accomplishment and how cute are you two? I think its fabulous that you did this together, that PB didn’t listen to his iPod because yours was broken, and that you are SO supportive of one another. <3! Celebrate your incredible accomplishment this whole week- you deserve it!

  20. Great job to both you and PB! Congrats.

  21. Congratulations! I was on the edge of my seat reading this, great recap!

  26. Jessica

Congrats!!! I can’t wait to check back in for your secret πŸ™‚

I am also running the Cherry Blossom. I live in Northern Virginia and ran the race last year-it was my first race ever and was so much fun. Perhaps you’ll organize a blogger dinner/meet-up while you’re in DC? I’d love to meet you!

  27. So great to hear the details of your race! My husband and I are registering TODAY for next year’s 1/2 at WDW.
The picture in front of the castle with your husband started my tears!
    Congratulations to you both!

  28. Amazing job! Congrats!

As I read everyone’s race recaps I get very nervous. Hubby is bound and determined that we will run the 1/2 at the Reggae Marathon in Jamaica in Dec. I have never run but bought running shoes this weekend and hopped on the treadmill to run for the first time yesterday. I need lots of training that is for sure but we do have about 10 months or so until the race. I will be doing at least a local 5k before that and possibly a 10k to get used to it all. Ahhh just talking about it makes me scared.

Looking forward to keeping up with you and PB during your future races. You both remind me of hubs and myself. Love having a supportive and loving hubby.

  29. Congratulations to you too! What a great site you have here, and I’m excited to meet you!

    Laura

  30. YAY!!! Congrats to you! Looking forward to meeting you in NYC!

  31. Congrats on being selected for the electrolux/ovarian cancer partnership. Very fun. I am guessing this was your secret?

  32. You and PB did great! And it was sooo cold! I hope your muscles are recovering. Thanks so much for being a Rally Athlete. it means so much to the families with kids fighting cancer. If you have any pics of you and PB in your Rally Athlete shirts, we’d love copies! Sorry you were in the last corral. Congrats again and Rally On!

  33. Great job. DON’T be upset about your time-your freaking Luna things FROZE. It was awful conditions but you and PB did it and did it together-that’s awesome!

  34. C0ngrats! Glad you had fun and yes it stinks being stuck in the back, that has happened to me before and running around people wastes so much energy!

  35. awesome job on the race! you finished!!! thats enough in my book!

hey i saw something about you.. im wondering if its the “secret” or not.. HMM!M!M!M! i’ll have to stay tune to find out!!!

  36. I am so impressed. I can sort of picture WALKING a half-marathon, but I would make it running about three feet and then collapse. What an inspiring post!

Looking forward to meeting you in NY for the Foodbuzz Electrolux event next month! (Oops – did I just give away the secret?)

  37. HA! yea i got it!!! looking forward to seeing your announcement! : )

  38. WOW! Congratulations! What an accomplishment!!! It seems like you had a lot of FUN during the race, which is also so important! Congrats! πŸ™‚

  39. Congrats, Sabrina! I’m so proud of you! What a fantastic accomplishment! And having run it witih PB is something you will never forget. I’m so happy for the two of you!

  40. oc2seattle

Congrats on the race – and that other thing πŸ˜‰ – bummer about having to navigate the walkers.

  41. Congrats on the Foodbuzz/Electrolux win. Can’t wait to meet you in New York! CAKE!

  42. Congrats on your second half marathon! That’s quite an accomplishment.

Looking forward to meeting you in NYC at the Electrolux event!

  43. Stephanie S.

Congrats on amazing accomplishment and what a great milestone to achieve as a couple!

I can’t wait to hear the secret… does it have something to do with tea and hot chocolate instead of coffee (aka no caffeine?)

  44. Great job on braving the cold!!! It was brutal out there. Too bad we were ships that passed in the night and didn’t have the chance to say hello in person…
I hate secrets since I can’t stand the suspense πŸ™‚

  45. Great job on sticking with it when the mental side started to kick in. I was so amazed at the weather, it rained all day in Miami and I was thinking of all you racing!

  46. CONGRATS PRETTY LADY! i am so happy for you (and PB!) sounds like a great time (even though it was cold) and I think its so great you two got to run it together!

SECRET?!?!?! DON’T LEAVE ME HANGING! πŸ™‚
Random side note – is that a garmin 405? i just got one, and for the LIFE OF ME i can’t get the heart rate monitor to work. Do you have any tips? πŸ™
