Raffi’s room (progress pics)
After remodeling Raffi’s room with the help of contractors, it is almost done so I thought I would share how it looks so far.
Here was the inspiration board:
And here’s how it looks right now:
We still have a few finishing touches to buy and do:
– Hang the mobile. We bought this gorgeous mobile but we need to borrow a really big ladder from someone in order to hang it.
– Buy a new laundry hamper. The one we are using now is from our old house and it doesn’t match at all. It’s also really bulky.
– Buy new sheets and changing pad covers. I only have 2 sets of each since I was waiting to do his new room before buying a few sets. I haven’t found anything I love yet and am welcoming any ideas.
– Buy something for toy storage. We are borrowing my mother in law’s wicker basket right now, but I need to give it back since Raffi keeps trying to eat it. I’m looking for something safer so I don’t need to worry about splinters ha!
What I love the most:
I really love his curtains because they are funky and bright and can grow with him for several years. I’m also really happy about how the paintings above his crib turned out. They are exactly as I imagined them to be.
Sources:
Yellow & white chipper curtain panels with blackout panels with matching small pillow from Etsy seller PillowConfections
Orange lamp was an old one I repurposed for his room and spray painted orange
Painting above the dresser was a fun doodle done by my husband
Owl pillow was a gift from my sister in law
3 paintings above the crib were inspired by the rug and painted by my husband and I

I LOVE that you guys painted the pictures yourself! It’s all so cheerful and bright!
Cute!!! Love the artwork!
You can find wicker baskets galore at home goods!
@Colleen C, haha thanks, but I’m getting rid of our basket BECAUSE it’s wicker! Raffi keeps ripping off pieces and trying to eat them. I’m looking for plastic or fabric.
@RhodeyGirlTests, Oh Oh – I’m an idiot! haha. Pottery barn kids then. They have super cute ones and they actually aren’t as expensive as everything else at that store!
Soooo cute!
The set of 3 paintings is SO adorable! I couldn’t believe that you DIY’ed it.
@delia, Yay thank you! Trig did the hard one (the one on the right with the dude) and I did the other two. It was a lot of fun.
LOVE IT! great job, mama! 😉
I love the curtains too!
What a lovely nursery…the yellow is so cheery! Thanks for the great ideas, I’m starting to think about what we’re going to do for our little boy’s room! We might have to get those personalized hanging owls 🙂
@Maura @ My Healthy ‘Ohana, By the way, Walmart sells these faux-leather storage ottomans that are really affordable, and we love ours! It’s held up really well, wipes clean from messes, and holds a bunch of toys.
Looks awesome! I feel like the colors are similar to your wedding colors!
I LOVE IT!
Sabrina, the room is awesome! I love all the different aspects! And the curtains look great! 🙂 You could be a professional home decorator! 🙂
