Stitch Fix #5
I’ve learned something about Stitch Fix – the more specific you are about what style you like, the more you’ll like your fix. Makes sense, right?
Help me decide what to keep and what to return:
INA BOYFRIEND JEAN ($78)
These jeans were totally vanity sized. They were a size 8 and were so loose on me I would have thought they were a 10. Anyway, these looked SO cute on. I felt really good in them too. They are super flattering, as you can see from the second photo. However, when I unrolled the perfect cuffs, the jeans were a really funky length, so I’d only be able to wear them cuffed. Keep or return?
NORRIS CHEVRON PRINT SLEEVELESS BLOUSE ($44)
I like the idea of this blouse with the longer back, but ugh, CHEVRON. I’m just not into chevron. What do you think?
OHARA FAUX WRAP TIE-WAIST DRESS ($68)
Enter the blank stare. I’m just NOT into wrap dresses, and you already know I’m not into chevron. I had a gorgeous black DVF one years ago, and I only wore it when I had a really, really skinny day. I just don’t like the way they look on me and I don’t think they suit my body type. Agreed?
ARLEY TORTOISE JEWEL PENDANT ($38)
This necklace is really kind of cute and can be made into one of the personalized gifts to make it even more special. I probably have a million like it though. What I really want is an oversized fake pearl necklace with massive pearls.
BECCA LACE DETAIL FLORAL PRINT BLOUSE ($68)
Ahhhh! I loved this blouse. It’s loose fitting but I can get over that. I love the print and I love the lace detail on the back. I also like how conservative the neckline is.
By the way, it’s really funny to stand in the bathroom trying on all these clothes and taking pics. I think I need a new setting ha.
What should I keep and what should I return?
For the uninitiated, here’s how Stitch Fix works: You pay $20 for your box of clothes picked out for you by a stylist. They know your sizes and style by a profile you fill out, and they know what you’re looking for because you tell them. If you keep any of the items they send you, the $20 gets applied to them. If you send everything back, you pay $20 and call it a day. You have 3 days to decide what to keep and what to send back, and they do their best to pick pieces within your budget.

I love love the wrap dress on you the color is great too and I love the floral shirt!!!
If you have shoes you can wear with the rolled jeans, they look super cute on you. I love the necklace but understand your hesitance especially if you have others. Request or pin the type necklace you want on your Pinterest board and share it with your stylist. 🙂
the jeans and the blouse you like. the wrap dress looks like a bathrobe 😮
Not sure I would keep anything. You have too cute of a figure for them to be pulling such loose-fitting items.
Hey thanks! I do wish they would stop sending me such loose-fitting items. I’ve asked for smaller sizes and tighter clothes but haven’t gotten anything fitted yet. I like the loose floral shirt for when I get pregnant again next (hopefully next until next year), and on random days where I’ll need to dress up but feel blah.
Totally understand — sometimes you don’t want to wear anything too tight. But the chevron shirt in particular is WAY too big on you. Like I said, you have such a wonderful figure, you should dress to accentuate it! Fingers crossed on another bambino for you guys!
I think everything looks great on but I’m with you I wouldn’t keep the necklace or loose chevron top either. The wrap dress I think looks really cute – but is the color really “summer” or is it just me?
Love the necklace! I would keep the jeans if you like them. Would be really cute with wedges! I like the floral top too.
I am sooooo over chevron. Ah! Agree w you on wrap dresses. Totally not flattering on most bodies.
I like the jeans a lot, I think they look great on you. If they feel that loose though not sure if it would be a good idea to get them? As for the blouses I agree with commenters above, they look very big on you. If you plan to keep them for when you are next pregnant though then that makes sense.
I love the jeans! So cute for summer and fall. I agree with the other poster who commented that the other clothes looked way too big for you. I am not a fan of chevron either 😉
I really love the boyfriend jeans!! I think they’d be cute for a funky night out with heels or for walking around the city with some cute flat sandals! I’m not a fashion expert by any means, but whenever I have seen them in magazines they are rolled, so maybe that’s just the way you should be wearing them?
I sent you an email on this too, BUT: boyfriend jeans are meant to be cuffed. That’s why when you unrolled them they were a weird length. Anything that’s not cuffed is not a “true” boyfriend jean–they might be a boyfriend-type FIT, but TRUE boyfriend jeans are always cuffed.
That said, they look adorable on you! Keep those!
Cue the “The More You Know” NBC music, hahaha. 😉
I can barely find you in those clothes 🙂 The shirts are both too long and you could definitely go a size down in everything they sent you.
I think I’m going to ask for a smaller size in the floral shirt.
I like the jeans but the tops are all way too big on you.
I’ve adjusted my sizing a few times but I still keep getting clothing that is way too big.
I love the cuffed jeans on you. I actually prefer cuffed or ankle length that way I can wear them the majority of the year, with books, flats, sandals, etc… I love the floral shirt but it would look better one size smaller.
I ended up keeping the floral shirt in this size so when I (hopefully) get pregnant next it will fit for a good long while. And I can wear it on blah days now.
I like how the jeans look on you but I don’t see you as the boyfriend jeans type! Everything else is way too loose fitting/flowy for your beautiful shape!
I gave up on Stitch Fix after 4-5 shipments. I really love the idea of it, but it just didn’t work for me!
Thanks. I’m not the boyfriend jeans type, although I really want to be. I usually either dress up way more or dress down way more than a boyfriend jean outfit. They were really comfy though. I ended up returning them but not without thinking twice. Hope all is well with you!
