Ooooh- I never knew to boil the potatoes first! Great tip.

Any word on a blogger meet-up in NYC?

  2. I have never boiled my potatoes first! However, many times mine end up mushy instead of crispy if I don’t have the oven up high enough. Do you know if boiling helps make them crispy??

    • Jessica- I boil them first so that they are soft on the inside. Then I put the heat up high (400 or higher) so that the outside gets crispy. Since the inside is already cooked the oven time is just to crisp up the outside. Mine are crispy on the outside, soft in the middle!

  3. Love the menu Sabrina! Sounds like my kind of party!

  4. I’ve never boiled mine either but still get the soft inside, crispy out. Hmmm… different ovens! 🙂

I’m in charge of bringing my own snacks to the party haha since everyone else is eating chili and brownies.

  5. Another fabulous menu. I’m coming over for the sweet potato fries and fruit tray alone 😉 Hope you have fun! Thank goodness its Friday

  6. I have no clue who’s playing in the Super Bowl either, but I married a football lover so I at least need to participate. We always watched basketball in my house growing up, so I have no idea what goes on in this sport!! 🙂

I love the healthy party ideas, everything about Super Bowl seems so unhealthy to me. Last year I made some pretzels (healthy) and a ‘jalapeno popper’ dip (so unhealthy). I haven’t decided what I’m bringing this year (we go to a friends’ house who throws a pot luck party). Hope you have a good time this weekend!

  7. This menu sounds great! Enjoy! (I’ll most likely be sleeping along with you! 🙂 )

  8. I wanna come to a super bowl party at your house with all that yummy food. BUT, like you, I have no clue who is even playing.. my hub and I will probably rent a movie..lol.

    Enjoy New York! 😉

  9. Yummy menu! I love sweet potato fries.

Have a great time in NYC! I’m looking forward to your recap 🙂
