Oikos Organic Caramel Yogurt & Chocolate Yogurt
Sweet Treats for every day.
Oikos Caramel yogurt and Chocolate yogurt have finally arrived. Greek yogurt is really delicious, and when sweetened a bit, it can satisfy any sweet tooth. You have all seen my favorite yogurt combination by now. If you haven’t, it is here: The Trifecta: Oikos, Pom, & Kashi. I also call this sweet treat a yogurt bomb, which this season consists of plain Greek yogurt, slivered almonds, strawberries and a few chocolate chips.
I may no longer have to make my own sweet yogurt snacks! Oikos came out with two new flavors of Greek yogurt- Caramel flavor and Chocolate flavor. I received a few samples today from Stonyfield Farms (thank you!) and had to share the packaging as it was not only fitting to the delicious flavors, but really fun! (Note: This video is dork-worthy).
The flavors are at the bottom which I like so I can control how sweet it is. I have only tried the caramel so far and I really like it. I mixed in about 3/4 of the caramel and it was a perfect, decadent, guiltless treat!
Have you tried the new Oikos flavors yet? What do you think?
P.S. The video starts with a close-up of my new t-shirt! PB and I are running the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run in Washington D.C. in a few weeks with some friends (I might be running with Ashley) and I am wearing it to run! I do not really feel prepared as I have been teaching more boot camp classes than running, but it will be fun anyway! I am trying to convince PB to let me change plans so I can attend the meet up Anne P is planning.

@Erica, I stashed the box for a little extra surprise from the Easter bunny- including the cute candy paper!

I actually did buy a whole pack of the caramel flavor (i.e. I was not given it for free to try!). To be honest, I was really disappointed with the flavor and threw it out. I really like Greek yogurt so I expected to love this. I think I’ll stick with the regular honey or fruit flavors when I need a sweet yogurt treat.

@Tiffany, Oh no! I am sorry to hear that. I actually liked the caramel flavor a lot more than strawberry, but not as much as the vanilla or honey.

Love, love, love the caramel! It’s a grea addition to overnight oats too! The chocolate fell a little short for me. I thought it tasted good, but it is that unsweetened chocolate “good”, so it doesn’t really satisfy a chocolate craving for me. Maybe that’s just something I have to get used to?

@Lindsay @ The Ketchup Diaries, I couldn’t resist and therefore just went and tried the chocolate flavor. I really like it. I wonder if it is because I usually eat plain yogurt with chocolate chips, berries, and nuts in it so I am used to that natural chocolate taste? Give it a few more tries.. maybe your tastebuds will fall in love like mine did!!!!

Yes, I had one today. Although, I am cupcake crazed so I thought they were cupcake papers, but now I get that they are candy papers!

I’m so jealous! I can’t find these flavors anywhere. I wish I could get them sent to me. I’m glad you liked them.
p.s. I know you have family in RI and I hope they haven’t been affected by the flooding. I hope your family is safe and sound
